Council awarded Silver by National Association of Local Councils

Honiton Town Council continues to demonstrate its progress. The Town Council has been awarded Silver in the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) Local Council Award Scheme.
The Council had already achieved Foundation (Bronze) status in 2023 and has now been Awarded the next level: Silver.
The Council's Chairman (Serena Sexton) said "I am delighted that the Council continues to demonstrably improve and that journey has been recognised nationally. The assessment requires the Council to go beyond compliance with the law and in addition for example show that it effectively communicates with residents, enables contributions and leads the community."
NALC granted the Award on 29 June 2026. The award runs until 2030.
