Community Complex
As a result of many years’ work the Town Council is now in the process of delivering with its partners a modern, purpose-built centre for community, social, arts and business use at the centre of the town.
The Beehive is to be built on part of the current site of the Dowell Street car park and comprises a two storey building offering a modern purpose-built venue that includes a central hall with a seating capacity of 300. In addition there will be a number of smaller rooms for hire together with a cafe/bar area to support performances and also to be used for community events.
